Benefit Account for
Steven M. Johnson

A benefit bank account has been set up at the Appalachian Gilmer County Community Bank for Steven M. Johnson. This account has been established to help the family of  Mr. Johnson meet expenses resulting from a catastrophic medical emergency. Mr. Johnson, age 35 and a lifelong resident of Gilmer County, suffered a blood clot to the brain on March 13, 2008, and subsequently had to be life-flighted to Erlanger Trauma Center and Hospital in Chattanooga for emergency surgery. After several neuro-surgeries he still remains there as a patient.

Mr. Johnson is a single parent and father of 3 children and has been employed as a Maintenance and Water Distribution employee of Walnut Mountain for the past 2 1/2 years. His medical prognosis is still unknown, but medical expenses and expenses relating to maintaining a home for his children continue. As the need is great it is hoped that with the generosity of Gilmer County residents this benefit account will be able to help offset some of  Mr. Johnson's most critical expenses. Any branch of the Gilmer County Appalachian Bank Community will be able to accept these contributions. All donation are tax-deductible, and a receipt will be given for this purpose. Your help is greatly appreciated.
